Happiness

There must be endless number of articles, posts, or thoughts on "Happiness". What is happiness, how to be happy. There might be numerous scholars or philosophers who must have already commented on this and must have commented very elaborately on this. Every living being wants to be happy and I am no exception to that. So I was just thinking what is happiness and how to be happy and this is what my grey matter responded with:
# Happiness cannot be dependent. By that what I mean is you cannot seek happiness from things which are not in your control. If you think that someone (your friend, your relative, your spouse, your kid...) behaves in a particular way then I will be happy is where you will loose all your happiness. This is where you are making your happiness dependent. You are complicating things for yourselves. Don't try to link your happiness to someone or something, keep it independent. That's why its said there is lot of joy and happiness in giving, you know why - because giving is independent, its with you. Giving is one of the things which will make you happy and there will be numerous other things which are with you, in your control - always try to seek happiness from these things, all you need is to look out for such things. As with every other thing in this world, to achieve something you have to put efforts and the same is with happiness, put your genuine efforts to be happy - that's absolutely in your own control and that feeling itself will give you lot of happiness.
The gist is - you can find happiness only from within, stop looking for it elsewhere!!!

Matter and State

In some perspective, Soul has two components: Matter and State. Matter is something that never changes, that's the permanent component associated with a soul, that's the actual thing itself!!! State is something which keeps changing every moment. It is the medium by which the matter exhibits itself.
The state can be a natural representation of the matter or it can be an unnatural representation of the matter. With respect to the soul the natural state of the soul is to "know" and just that. Anything apart from that is an unnatural state. The soul being associated with the body (which is non-living matter) is an unnatural state. Liberation of soul (what we call as Moksha) is when the soul exhibits only the natural state and that is - knowing / infinite knowledge and just that!!!

Introduction

We talk, talk with friends and family, the talk sometime turns in to discussion. Then as we move deeper in to the discussions our brain starts pulling out thoughts from nearly no where on what we believe or feel about certain things - which many times amazes ourselves. Its like - oh was it really me who said this!!! You kind of discover yourself during such talks, you yourself become audience to what you are saying - you come to know you better and better!!!

The idea behind the blog is the intent to philosophize on such thoughts. Let the flow of amazing thoughts never stop. Let us not define the thoughts, instead let our unalloyed thoughts define us!!!
